Book review

A Memory Between Us

Sarah Sundin

Christian fiction set in 1943 England. Sundin presents a romance between Ruth, a hardworking American nurse supporting her siblings and Jack, an ambitious American pilot, torn between a desire for promotion and family expectations that he join the ministry. Ruth is afraid her secret will be exposed, losing her job and family. Jack wants to be the best only seeing the goal ahead. Sundin gives the reader historical details of nursing, combat and wartime Britain in a page turning inspirational melodrama. Characters throughout have difficult problems to challenge their love and faith. Similar in tone to Dee Henderson, also a inspirational author, this is a story for readers who like a sweet romance and action as well.
