D.H. Lawrence

Today the Club Maidu book club discussed Women in Love. It is a difficult book to read, heavy with symbolism and long monologues. I finished it though. The folks that turned up for the discussion weren't able to finish it. So what do you think? Should we read books in spite of the fact that they are difficult? Or should we read for pleasure? Is reading a social activity? Are popular books a true reflection of the current society? Is a book supposed to teach us something?

Well, here is a list of books by D.H. Lawrence owned by the Roseville Library.

Apocalypse

Lady Chatterley's Lover

Mr. Noon

The Rainbow

Sons and Lovers

Aaron's Rod

Women in Love

I think I will read more of his work, I like a challenge. Please comment below.
